- MissionOur mission as a union of illegal drug users is to end the stigma associated with drug use, to establish social equality, an...d protect the human rights of all drug users. We are a community-based organization and feel that those efforts which support our mission are best undertaken by the members of our community most affected by the stigma and human rights abuses which illegal drug users face: active illegal drug users. We seek to change the social climate for illegal drug users as well as producing a significant progressive change in the existing restrictive and inequitable drug statutes through non-violent actions which include but are not limited to protest, lobbying, and direct contact with elected officials at the national, state, and local level. We also seek to create a system of support for those individuals adversely affected by the War on Drugs and all other policies that tend toward the stigmatization and incarceration of illegal drug users. All drug users are human beings and deserve to be treated with the respect and dignity afforded to any other member of our community. It is, therefore, our goal to establish a community which sees first the individual and only then whether that person may or may not use illegal drugs. See More
